Its that time of year again for the Tour Down Under. I love this event its well run and its fun to photograph. Hopefully one of the Aussies can get up this year.

Christmas

Christmas is a fun time, lots of presents food friends and drinks. I say merry Christmas to everyone out there.

The Birds

These banded stilts fly in from Russia, normally an unusual sight at the Coorong. But the drought has bought them in.

THE BIG DRY

This is referred to as the choke a section of the Coorong that feeds the big and small lagoons. This would normally be flowing with water.

Climate change

Can individuals make change? I thinks so.  Climate change is the biggest threat to the world today and climate change is caused by over population. What can we do? its about attitudes and they have to change.

The river

From time to time the outback rivers flow and carry the waters down into places like Lake Eyre in South Australia. These spectacular events are full of life and color and life as the ecosystems come out to play.

I took this photograph years back on one of the first Adelaide to Darwin solar race. Finally Solar is being embraced by the masses, it wont be long before its common place, but is to late?

Stockman

Where lucky in Australia, we have plenty of resources lots of land and plenty of sunshine.

If only we could rely less on fossil fuels, we need to change the way we do things and look after our future generations.

Dancing Sky

Flying high!  This particular show called " ll Cielo che Danza " is  performed by a theatre company out of Italy that travel the world.  That performed here in Adelaide. It was a great spectacle to watch. Gotta love the Adelaide festival

Flying low over the northern part of Adelaide, just off the coast, it's another world not many people get to see.

Wild life on the Coorong

This picture of Banded Stilts was taken in the summer of 2008. These birds migrated from the northern hemisphere to feed on the now abundant krill as a result of the higher salinity of the water. Locals estimates put the number at two hundred and fifty thousand birds

The Coroong

One of my favourite assignments is aerial photography, so when I was offered the chance by a Melbourne publisher I jumped!  I was to fly over the Coorong and capture the impact of the water inflows from the recent rains into its lakes system. Here are some of the images taken several days ago.
